Hot Stone Massage in Naples: What It Is and Who Should Skip It
Heat does some of the work, which is why it suits people who want depth without firm pressure. And a few people who should book otherwise.
Massage
A couples massage is the most-booked treatment at most day spas and the least-explained. People arrive unsure whether they will be talking the whole time, whether they have to undress in front of each other, and whether it is worth the difference over two separate appointments. Here is the straight version.
Two tables in one room, two therapists, and the same treatment running side by side at the same time. That is the whole of it. You are not required to talk, to hold hands across the gap, or to coordinate anything. Most couples spend the first few minutes murmuring and the rest of the hour quiet, which is rather the point.
You change privately, you are draped with a sheet throughout, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. Your therapists step out while you both get comfortable and knock before returning. Nothing about the room is different from a single treatment except that there are two of everything.
We offer the couples experience in two forms, and the difference is pressure rather than luxury.
Couples Swedish Massage is long, flowing, warm-lotion work over the whole body. It is the one to book if either of you is new to massage, if you want to come out floating rather than worked over, or if you are marking an occasion and want the hour to be purely pleasant. Sixty minutes is $236, ninety is $336, two hours is $466.
Couples Therapeutic Massage is firmer, slower and more focused. Book it when both of you actually want the deeper work — not one person relaxing while the other quietly wishes they had asked for something stronger. Sixty minutes is $276, ninety is $416, two hours is $556.
A useful rule: if you would each book something different on your own, book Swedish together and let the therapists adjust pressure individually. They can, and they will if you ask.
Sixty minutes covers the full body at a comfortable pace and suits a first visit. Ninety is the length most couples settle on once they have been before, because it gives each therapist room to spend real time on backs, necks and shoulders without rushing everything else. Two hours is for an anniversary, or for the week you have both decided to stop.
A couples appointment needs two therapists and the one couples room, so it is the hardest thing on our menu to fit in at short notice. Out of season a few days is usually enough. From January through March, when Naples fills up, a week ahead is more realistic, and weekend evenings go first. Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day are effectively booked out well in advance everywhere in town.
You can book online in a couple of minutes, or call if you want to talk through which one suits you.
A couples massage is one of the better gifts to give without checking a calendar first, because the recipient books the time themselves. Gift cards are delivered by email, can be printed at home, and are redeemable toward any service, so there is no risk of picking the wrong treatment for someone.
No. Most couples go quiet within a few minutes. Your therapists will not make conversation unless you start it.
Yes. You each have your own therapist and they work to what you ask for individually. Say so at the start and again during if you want it changed.
No. Friends, sisters, a parent and an adult child — the room is simply two people being treated at once. Book it for whoever you would like to spend the hour near.
Book the Swedish, choose sixty minutes, and tell the therapist it is a first. It is the most common first massage there is and nothing about it requires preparation.
